A Fabricator creates products, structures, or components by cutting, shaping, and assembling raw materials, most commonly metal. They often precede the welder.

Measuring and marking materials, cutting and shaping metal plates, pipes, and sections, performing basic fitting, creating jigs/templates, and preparing components for final assembly or welding based on engineering drawings.
